    Job Overview & Responsibilities

The Records Management Database Developer will maintain and improve existing records management (RM) automated tools. Some of tools are web-based using PHP, HTML, CSS and MySQL; however, other tools are MS Access-based with Visual Basic scripting. The SF-135 Application is a web-based tool used to manage records transfers to and from the Records Holding Areas (RHAs) where our Customer records are stored. The Office File Plan (OFP) tool and the Information Officer (IO) database are both MS-Access based tools. The Customer's RMP is looking to convert both of these tools to either a web-based tool or a MS SharePoint based tool for future use. Other tools may be defined and required over time.

The selected candidate must be able to quickly understand the architecture and design of the existing tools and maintain/update the existing tools to meet RM requirements while supporting the evolution to newer technologies that will provide an improved set of user capabilities and reporting functionality. This position requires advanced knowledge of PHP, SQL, HTML, DHTML, Visual Basic, ASP, JavaScript, Perl, CSS, and MySQL scripting and programming.
