    Job Overview & Responsibilities

    KMS Solutions is seeking a Director of Southeast Region. The candidate will build strategic client and partner relationships and grow the company. As a Regional Director, the individual will be responsible to the COO for the performance of contracts, client relationships, marketing and lead generation, developing and executing new business capture strategies, and proposal development, all in line with the corporate organic growth strategy.

     

    This position may be located in Norfolk, VA; Alexandria, VA or Melbourne, FL.

     

    • Responsible for the management, technical leadership, and customer satisfaction for all assigned contracts and task orders. Primary focus will be on engineering and technical service task orders with the U.S. military
    • Maintain the primary interface between KMS and the Government technical POC for all assigned contracts and tasks
    • Create and maintain win-win relationships with key partner, government, business, and community stakeholders
    • Ensure the proper execution of business strategies and company initiatives, including all milestones, measurements, budgets, and deliverables, while ensuring compliance with the company direction and vision
    • Review and manage the status of all assigned projects and report to senior management and the customer on the health of all programs
    • Leverage existing business development activities to include identifying new business development targets, reaching out to potential new customers, participating in the business development process, and participate in the development of proposal responses to new requirements and the recompete of existing projects.
    • Builds contacts and relationship with clients 
    • Serves as main point of support contact and escalation for clients with principal consultants in place 
    • Provides advice and consultancy services to client on all areas of enterprise security risk management 
    • Leads and manages matrixed project groups
    • Provides management supervision for principal consultants 
    • Provide technical direction, leadership and mentorship for the employees assigned
    • Demonstrate versatility and resourcefulness to effectively match KMS solutions to opportunities
    • Understands all aspects of client business functions and processes, then designs, schedules, analyzes, and constructs solutions to meet the demands and specifications of the client 
    • Ensures proper documentation for and training on all provided services to client 
    • Provides transitional service for clients moving from implementation to ongoing client support
    • Lead the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of diverse talent who enhance company culture; create accountability and ownership among team members through communication of clear expectations, supervision, and provision of timely performance feedback
    • Ensures successful onboarding of principal consultants to clients for ongoing support 
    • Keeps current on industry trends, news, and happenings, and maintain continual awareness of best practices in the security risk management profession 

    Qualifications

    • Master’s Degree required in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or a closely related field 
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
    • 10 years of experience in Defense industry and military acquisitions
    • Experience in a management role with a Government contractor highly desired
    • Program planning execution experience 
    • Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and relate to individuals with diverse backgrounds, including the ability to effectively resolve complex or sensitive matters
    • Effective oral and written communication skills with active listening skills 
    • Capability to assess and evaluate situations effectively 
    • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately 
    • Attention to detail
    • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office 
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
