The Configuration Management Specialist (CMS) will work with KMS and customer technical and administrative staff. The CMS will take a rough product and ensure that the finished product is correct with respect to proper grammar, technical writing styles, punctuation, formatting, styles/field codes within MS Word, and document guidelines and standards. The CMS will also maintain configuration, status accounting, change control, and a record of issues/deficiencies with products from the team being supported. The CMS may be involved in identifying and/or implementing the solutions. Edit existing content to conform to relevant guidelines and standards, and to maximize clarity. Maintain stylistic, notational, and organizational standards to ensure consistent documentation. Collaboration with both the engineering team and management to identify recurring issues and work towards continuous improvement. Develop a basic understanding of US Naval systems and product engineering terms and methodologies. Familiarity with Military Systems (US Naval systems preferred).
